Other Notes of Note

"Every minute spent in introspection is a minute outside of reality. But without introspection, reality is merely reaction." -- (I came up with that today.)

I believe that's a beautiful and succinct insight.

I got to your blog by searching the phrase "we could be better animals" on a search engine. I'll try another search engine and get back to your site when all the other interesting search hits for that phrase get saved.
The search phrase occurred to me while interacting with a dog. She hid under a chair when I walked into the room and I trust her judgement of me more than my introspection--it worried me. Mark Twain is credited with approximately saying "the difference between a man and a dog is: you can give a dog a warm home, a meal, and a warm place to sleep, and the dog won't turn around and bit you"
